The role
The main role of the Head Trader is the supervision of all traders and other personnel involved in the Trading Desk. Most notably, the Head Trader is charged with ensuring regulatory and internal compliance for every employee who is part of the trading operation. The Head Trader should be among the most knowledgeable individuals at a firm regarding the markets and trading architecture/environment. We are looking for top talent only, with the ability not only to coordinate the team, but also inspire and motivate them.
Job Description
The ideal candidate will exhibit high standards, excellent communication skills, and an ability to take initiative, and prioritize daily tasks. A strong ability to take charge and meet tight deadlines will ensure success in this multi-faceted role.
Daily tasks:
- Setting the tone in starting the day. Leading meetings, discussing trading strategies, supervising all traders, assigning daily tasks, and organizing the department to fulfil its objectives.
- Daily communication via phone to clients to provide info on the markets and delegating to the junior members to contact clients as well.
- Receiving and executing orders for all markets (Greek, Europe, US) and for all available instruments (Stocks, CFD’s, Bond’s, etc.)
- Managing the trading business and being responsible for monitoring positions, risks and implementing effective trading strategies.
- Solving problems that arise either with clients or counterparties. Being responsible for creating and maintaining relationships with external brokers and custodians.
- Ensuring regulatory compliance (MIFID and HCMC), internal company policies and best execution practices.
Desired Skill Set:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business or a similar sector
- Experience 3-5 years in a relevant position
- HCMC Certification (B) necessary
- Experience with Z-trade, SAXO and Interactive Brokers platforms
- Excellent communication skills
- Good knowledge of MS office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Proven excellent written and oral skills both in English and Greek
- Self-motivated with the ability to multitask
- Problem solving skills and an overall creative mindset
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Existing clientele base will be considered an asset

Job description
Responsibilities:
- Identify and originate new investment opportunities
- Conduct extensive quantitative economic reports regarding industry and company research and analysis
- Source, build and leverage a network of referral sources in the capital markets including Private Equity firms, Venture Capitals, Family Offices and Consulting Companies
- Maintain responsibility for initial relationship contacting, face to face meetings and follow-up to develop business relationships and deal closing
- Attend industry conferences and events to build awareness of company’s presence and potential
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, ideally with a focus in Finance and/or a minimum of 1-year experience in Business Development, Sales or PR Communication
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in Greek and English and experience of producing and reviewing reports and presentations
